Youthful Ambition

When was the last time you did ANYTHING simply for the fun of it? Can you remember childhood, where each and everything brought so much JOY? There wasn't a single thing we did in which we did not take pleasure in it. I want that feeling BACK...

That feeling comes from an unbridled Love and Lust for Life. It's being excited to wake up each morning, the day brimming with possibilities. It's starting over, every single day if you like; able to be whatever you want. Watching my 4 year old live her life this way, day after day, with admirable, unshakable tenacity, is what has had me thinking about this for quite some time.
So, with my wheels turning, I started making some mental notes; little things I do daily, and how they actually FELT as I do them. See, its not necessarily what it is you're doing, but the MINDSET while doing them. I may not necessarily enjoy preparing 3-6 SPECIAL meals each day for my youngest daughter, but I DO enjoy that little dance she does, and her face full of appreciation as I hand her the bowl. Without my act of Love, there is no celebratory dance. So while I am cooking, I am imagining that little jig, and I am so full, and suddenly enjoying the activity; making it as much for me as it is for her.
Happiness is ALL about perspective. It's about the way you see things. that childhood tenacity can be embodied daily if only we make the choice to do so. No, not everything in life is going to be super-fun and exciting, but by focusing on the WHY behind what you are doing, you can turn virtually ANY action into a good experience. Pour as much gratitude into the Universe as you possibly can and just sit back and see what happens.~ The Queen

Perfecting the Art of Peace

It's official...I'm in my Soft Era...and not for any of these silly reasons you see flooding the internet right now...outside of the keeping to yourself and minding your business; not becoming emotionally invested in the things that are happening outside of you.  Now that's a sentiment I can get behind in Any era!  I just came to the realization that there are no hard edges in Peace.  It's calm, tranquil, and smooth; silky to the touch...That's exactly  the feeling I'm going for... I have moments of pure bliss throughout the day, so I began to observe these moments to myself, "How can I make this feeling last?  How do I make this my preferred state of being?"  As opposed to allowing anxiety to kick in, sending my over analytical mind into overdrive, I instead looked to my inner child.  At what points throughout the day was she most stimulated and engaged?  Now that answer was very simple:  "When I am learning and creating."  Yes!...

The Tea: Days of the Week Energy Correspondence

Sooo, the hot topic of conversation between myself and my closest friends has been how out of wack we feel, and just out of sync we seem to feel with our current realities.  It sparked a renewed interest in an article I came across about 7 years ago that talked about how we were doing things all wrong on a daily basis... From the day we are born, we have a schedule, of sorts that is imprinted on us.  As opposed to learning through our own intuition when to act, and how to maneuver certain energy, we are forced into what is pre-existing; what is most conducive to the environment in which we are now being integrated...and this becomes life.  Never giving a second thought to the fact that perhaps you should be moving entirely differently.  According to foreverconscious.com  , the specific vibrational signature for each day of the week is influenced by the planet for which it's name originates.  Each day was named after the planet with the corresponding ...

The Virtuous Woman

I remember growing up in church and hearing this term mentioned several times in reference to a particular bible verse.  It was always used in conjunction with a lesson concerning the ways in which a woman should conduct herself; specifically, what characteristics a woman should possess in order to be the ideal partner.  As a child, this was one of the lessons I took with a grain of salt because I was too young to fully appreciate all of its implications.  As I grew older, the concept continued to escape me; as outside influences became more prevalent, and began to shape my perspective.  It wasn't until recently, while reading that the idea returned to me, that I started to reflect on what this actually meant to me; I chose to define it on my OWN terms... Virtue, by definition, according to the New Oxford American Dictionary, means, "behavior showing high moral standards; a quality considered morally good or desirable in a person; a good or useful quality of a...
